Right after the New Year, 2021, I knew that my husband and I needed a romantic refuel and pronto. I contacted Erica Gragg, Owner of Escape Artist Travel, and asked if she could recommend a romantic destination, within a 6 hour drive from our home. It was important that it have excellent on site restaurants and room service (which in January 2021 of COVID was a tall order for sure!), and a luxurious suite inviting enough that we would WANT to stay in some nights. Erica Gragg is all you’ve read about her and much much more. Her attention to detail was practically psychic; within a matter of hours, she generously carved out several options for us. She has an encyclopedic knowledge of the travel destinations here and abroad so you have confidence that you’re not “missing out” on some great place – she knows them all.
She crafted a four day escape for us and chose the most perfect location – in this case it was Mayflower Inn & Spa, part of the Auberge Resorts Collection. It was a perfect fit (remember, I said she’s practically psychic!).
We had a romantic trip in a place that I never would have chosen without her guidance – so a new discovery is always doubly sweet! Though ours was a “mini” trip compared to the scale Erica usually plans I especially appreciate that she gave our trip the same attention as she would have for something much longer and grander.
