For ONE week only, ESCAPE TO SHAPE takes you on a one-of-a-kind journey through culture- rich St. Petersburg, Russia. Join us July 17-24, 2010, as we explore the former Russian capital which has recaptured much of its glamour. Much like Venice, Italy, St. Petersburg is a collection of small islands, connected by canals, offering an enchanting landscape along with a rich culture, stunning architecture and a fantastical history. And since we will be Escaping in the summer, the sun barely sets, offering even more hours to explore (and exercise!)... but don't worry, your room will be dark to sleep in!

We have secured a beautiful family run 16 bedroom mansion in the center of historical St. Petersburg, complete with breathtaking views of the cathedrals of Nikolsky and Troitsky, as well as the bridges of Old Nikolsky and Smezhny. From every angle you are reminded that you are in St. Peterburg. Each luxury suite is unique and includes air conditioning and an en suite bathroom.

The rate is $3000 US per person based on 2 people per room. We can pair you with a roommate if traveling solo. Private rooms are available at an additional rate- please inquire.

REGISTRATION PROCESS & VISA REQUIREMENTS

Russia requires that all US and EU visitors obtain a visa and visa's are only administered to guests that have been 'invited' to visit Russia. Upon registration you will receive a confirmation, along with details of the Visa process. You can expect an invitation letter in March. This is the letter you must use to obtain a visa.

We have found the Russian Embassy website and one of the companies they recommend using if you do not live in a city with a Russian Embassy (Travista Outsourcing) to be very helpful in the visa process. Please see http://www.russianembassy.org/ for more details. The price for obtaining a visa is between $130-$181 US depending upon if you need to use the outsourcing service or not. You do not need to worry about the standard tourist confirmation and voucher as we will provide you with that once the trip is confirmed. We will also provide you with a form letter you can fill in to submit with your visa application. Visas must be used within 90 days of receipt so we will provide you with all the necessary invitations and letters in advance and send you reminders about obtaining your visa throughout the year leading up to your trip. It is our goal to make the process as effortless as possible for you!
